Any Chowder Fans Out There?

We visited a local seafood festival today and Linda had some Tony's Clam Chowder from a World Champion.  It's too close to soup for me, but Linda raved about it.

While Linda ordered some chowder, I snapped a couple pictures of the 8 x 16 fully licensed concession trailer.

The graphic design on the trailer really make it stand out in a crowd of other vendors.

Want to try some and see if you think it lives up to World Champion status?  You can order 1/2 gallon or 5 gallons and have it shipped to your door on the Order Page of Tonyschowder.com

Can't get enough clam chowder? Then here's a video from the 2010 World Champion Cook-off:

And after watching this video, I think Eric might have a future career as a motivational speaker.

BBQ Trailer for Sale

If you know of anyone looking for a very, very nice enclosed 7 x 16 tandem axle trailer with fold down rear door and concession window, let me know. The trailer has e-Trac, electric trailer brakes, insulation throughout the walls and ceiling, electric outlets throughout, a triple sink, linoleum, wipe-down walls, cabinets, lighting, RV door, spare tire, roof vents, LED brakelights, 6 inches of additional height, and 30 amps that run through a breaker box.

The trailer was manufacturered by Doolittle and is one of the heaviest built trailers I've ever seen. The tongue and frame are very well built. You'll have to look far and wide to find a better built trailer.

The trailer is three years old. I am confident that it would cost more than $9,000 to duplicate this trailer today. I will take $6,900 for the trailer.
Currently, the trailer is being stored at my parents' house in Boonville, Missouri.

Ole Hickory BBQ Pit for Sale

There's an Ole Hickory BBQ Pit mounted on a tandem axle trailer for sale at PurpleWaveAuction.net . Based on the pictures on the auction site, it looks a little rough. The current bid is at $1,450 and the next required bid is $1,500. If I'm reading the web site correctly, this is an internet auction that ends on June 5. The winning bidder will need to make arrangements to pick-up the smoker in Witchita, KS.

BBQ Concession Trailer

We built our own trailer for bbq competitions at a cost of $7,500. It's a 16 ft Doolittle that's perfect for us. It's still a work in progress, but we've used for two seasons now.

Here's a link to a company that specializes in building concession trailers in all shapes, sizes, designs and layouts. They've got a porch concession trailer that would allow for mounting a cooker on the back.

Olympia Blends Products and Services LLC

Based on the information on their web site, the trailer comes with linoleum, vinyl wall covering, grey water tank w/vent, fresh water tank, hot water heater, 100 amp wiring and GFI plug, etc.

It looks pretty nice. You might build it for less, but the headaches you'll run into might be worth the money!
