Two Purple Pigs

BBQ Joints come and go in Manchester, TN so when I heard about a new bbq place in Manchester called Two Purple Pigs I wanted to check it out.  After being in the house for a couple of days during the holidays enjoying our annual visit with Linda's family, we decided to try Two Purple Pigs today.

We loaded up the car and headed into town and arrived at the restaurant about 11:25 or so.  Unfortunately, the restaurant wasn't open today so we head over to Logan's Roadhouse instead and had a nice 6 oz. sirloin steak and sweet potato fries for lunch.

I'll definitely be heading back to the Two Purple Pigs later this week before we return to Florida. It looked promising. I'll post some pictures and a write-up later this week.

Closed on Monday....what do they think they are, a Chinese restaurant? ha ha

One of these times that ya'll are coming up and driving, we should meet in Chattanooga (presuming you are going I75 to I24) for lunch at a bbq place on the way up or back home. Just let me know.

It was closed on Tuesday, too. I don't think we have ever tried so hard to eat at a BBQ restaurant.

Just came upon your blog and I'm so sorry we were closed the days you came by. Over the holiday we had closed on Monday and we're only open for lunch on Tuesdays. Its a small operation right now, but we have big plans. Our first priority is quality of our food, so I hope you can pass this way again and FINALLY try some! We have a FaceBook page under Two Purple Pigs that has our menu. Cheers! Mike from Two Purple Pigs, Manchester, Tennessee.

My in-laws live in the Beech Grove area, so there's at least a 99.9% chance we'll be back to eat at Two Purple Pigs at some point. We've never tried to hard to eat at a bbq restaurant.

I have to say the owner Bob and his staff are great people and the conversation flowed all night as patrons came and went..Nowas for the BBQ, I ate there saturday and again on sunday...it was the real deal and I will go back when In the area....Oh..its not on the menu, but ASK for the Fried Bologna Sandwich...smoke bologna with tomato on white bread with just a "dash" of cayanne.....mmmm good..
